 | Jolanta Ornowska has volunteered with the CEED Centre for close to a decade, first helping out with her family at the Celebrate Earth Day festival each year, then joining the Board of Directors as Treasurer. Most recently, she applied for funding through her employer, HSBC Bank Canada, |
as part of a program that recognizes her work as a volunteer and contributes funding to complement her efforts. The CEED Centre is a grateful recipient of $2,000 toward soil, seeds and tools for the community gardens and beekeeping programs this year. The CEED Centre also provides free weekly programs--an art workshop on Tuesdays lead by volunteer, Warren Halm, and a community discussion on Wednesdays, as well as free Internet access Monday through Wednesday. In her role as a director, Jolanta also serves on the Cheers to the Planet committee, which organizes an annual eco-gala to raise funds for the free programs. We salute Jolanta and her fellow volunteers for bringing so much joy to the community through their volunteer activities.
