On Wednesday, October 23rd, the CEED Centre had its Annual General Meeting. This is always a nice night for us as we reflect on the year that has passed and dream for the future of our organization. We had an amazing evening filled with music, story telling and great discussion about the programs offered and sponsored at the CEED Centre. As per our policy, previous board members were relieved of duty and then re-elected with five new directors. The 2013-2014 Board of Directors for the CEED Centre Society are: Janet Amsden, Jackie Chow, Elaine Cormier, Jack Emberly, Richard Farrance, Russell Newcombe, Jolanta Onowska, Gerry Pinel, Wendy Rairdan, Adam Rieu, Renee Speck, and Mike Stark. The executive will be decided at the next Board of Directors meeting and announced in November. Our sincere thanks to departing directors Jocelyn Durston, Chris Kasza and Kim Lauzon for their dedication and commitment to our community. Chris and Jocelyn have moved to Nova Scotia to begin a new adventure in farming and Kim Lauzon will be dedicating all her spare time to the Golden Ears Community CO-OP. Kim was our previous president and contributed greatly to our purpose and to our community and we look forward to working with her further in her dream of a local food co-op. We would also like to thank Paula Justus and Chris Moerman for the incredible music, Jack Emberly for the incredible story appropriately named "Talk" and the fun song "Oh my Darlin' Frankenstein." Here are a few images and videos from the evening. You can see the entire photo album here. Here's to a new year of successful community building, positive environmental development, community education and social inclusion for everyone in our community.
