Teesha Sharma Homeless Youth Fund
Funds donated to this fund in memory of Teesha will be applied to or held in trust for the Maple Ridge residents of a youth safe house. It was Teesha's primary goal in life to set up and support a safe house for homeless youth in her home town. The funds will be used to create an endowment fund. The income from the fund will be used to meet the needs of the youth staying in the safe house. Teesha's definition of a safe house is a transitional residence in an undisclosed location in which the youth can stay 24/7 for a number of months if necessary, that is staffed with trauma informed staff, is barrier free (no eligibility criteria), and does not have intrusive intake requirements.
