A six-session workshop series with instructor Michael Sawyer, who used art therapy as a path to recovery from a traumatic brain injury.
In the first two sessions, we discuss materials, design, colour, value and perspective--and explore their expression.
Over the next four sessions, we practice painting a still life, floral arrangement and landscape. Along the way we discuss motivations toward the artistic impulse, including widening one's perspective, inspiration, creativity, trauma therapy and self-transformation.
Bring your favourite paint brushes and colours. You can use ours if don't have any.
