Teesha Sharma Homeless Youth Fund
Funds donated to this fund in memory of Teesha are provided to or held in trust for youth at the Maple Ridge emergency youth shelter. It was Teesha's primary goal in life to set up and support a safe house for homeless youth in her home town. The funds are used to meet the specific needs of individual youth at the shelter. Teesha's definition of a safe house is a transitional residence in an undisclosed location in which the youth can stay 24/7 for a number of months if necessary, that is staffed with trauma informed staff, is barrier free (no eligibility criteria), and does not have intrusive intake requirements.
