Painting with Michael Sawyer--6 Introductory Art workshops

Need some inspiration to take up painting with acrylics? Join Michael Sawyer in a quick start to painting workshop series at the CEED Centre Neighbourhood House. Michael used art therapy to recover from a traumatic brain injury. He now enjoys helping others rediscover the joys of artistic expression. Come for therapy or the simple pleasure.

Michael's Plan for the Workshop Series
In the first two sessions we discuss materials, design, colour, value and perspective--and explore their expression.

Over the next four sessions, we practice painting a still life, floral arrangement and landscape. Along the way we discuss motivations toward the artistic impulse, including widening one's perspective, inspiration, creativity, trauma therapy and self transformation.
