Breaking Bread together and Games Night

The CEED Centre community is having so much fun that the volunteers have suggested two new programs to take place at the Centre. The Friday Lunch Club will run weekly from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm on Fridays. The Games Night will take place on the third Thursday of each month.

The Friday Lunch Club is a cooperative meal program that can accept up to 12 people each week to share in the making and eating of a healthy lunch using our new kitchen provided by community donations. Two or three participants will shop for ingredients and cook the meal while the others enjoy some time to converse. Then another two or three will wash and dry the dishes. The other participants will take up these duties the following week. The meals will be funded by the participants. The primary goal of the Friday Lunch Club is to ensure that people who might live alone get a least one nutritionally balanced meal in the company of friends. The participants will set the fees and decide on the menu each month. 

The Games Night is a monthly program for volunteers to gather and play cards or board games. If you enjoyed whist or crazy eights in your youth, this program is for you. This program was inspired by Warren, leader of Warren's Art Workshops, our free art  program each Tuesday afternoon. Games Night will run from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm on the third Tuesday of each month.
