In April, we will commence biweekly evening community discussions at 7-9 pm on the 1st and 3rd Monday of the month, similar to the ones we have hosted on Wednesday mornings for the past 6 years at the CEED Centre Neighbourhood House. These informal gatherings feature an open forum format--everyone who walks through the door is invited to introduce themselves and bring up a topic or just contribute to the discussion of topics that others raise. You can even just listen, if you like. The topics are generally diverse and interesting. If we are lucky, we get to all the topics. Sometimes they get postponed to the next meeting.
The community discussions are a great way to connect to your community, meet new people and find out what is going on in your neighbourhood and beyond. These discussions are primarily aimed at raising each other's awareness of issues about which the participants are passionate, and are centered on talk, but occasionally they spur action that results in new permanent groups being formed. The discussions are facilitated by directors of the CEED Centre Society. We invite you to drop in for great conversation and companionship on the first and third Monday evenings each month. Christian
